🎯 Conversion-Driven Openers That Pass the Test
• Start with a bold claim or question: “What if your nonprofit could double donor retention in 30 days thru video marketing?”
• Sympathize: Conversion starts when your video names the problem they’re too busy to solve. Or it speaks to the frustration your audience wakes up thinking about—not the product you want to sell.
• Use a striking visual disruptor or metaphor: A ticking clock, a burning match, a crowded inbox—anything that dramatizes the problem or captures interest.
• Show the outcome first: “Here’s how this university turned a 3-minute video into $2M in licensing deals.”
• Name the audience: “Are you leading a marketing team?" ---This is a call out we use for Castleview because we love working directly with marketers who need a video expert partner.
Not every video has all of these in play. Our example here has 3 of the 5. We A/B tested our opening sentence with point 1 and point 5 above. Point 1 won for us.
